“The Party 2.0” – A Night of Giving!!

On behalf of all the members of Bethanys Hope Foundation I would like to recognize and thank all the participants for their very generous support of our annual Charity Dinner! Finally, we were “together again” with over 200 incredible Friends/Guests to celebrate “The Party 2.0” at the beautiful London Hunt & Country Club on Friday, October 20th, 2023. Combined with these generous folks this celebration with our amazing MC’s, TAZ from FM96 & our very own Jon Munn, the awesome music of Paul Zubot & The Band, and the creations of Chef Michael Stark from the London Hunt Club, “The Party” was truly “another incredible night” for our Foundation!! We are sending a very BIG Thank-You to all those that Sponsored, Donated, Volunteered and supported “The Party 2.0”. A special thank you to our very generous Presenting Sponsor, Mr. Tony Marsman and the Team from Rembrandt Homes. We are very grateful for our Platinum Sponsor at Oxford Dodge Chrysler Jeep as well as the wonderful Gold Sponsors from Ford Keast, Melchers Construction, and Sloan Stone Design. Our generous Silver Sponsors included OnX Enterprise Solutions and our friends at the @ Artcal / ATPrint Corp.. Other special evening Sponsors joined us from Gordon’s Gold Jewellers, Brouwer Plumbing, Auburn Developments, Oxford Dodge, Alfa Romeo and Maserati of London.…just to mention a few!!! We were thrilled to welcome back Chef Dave Lamers & Team from Abruzzi & Taverna, as well as Manager Ryan Elson & Team from State & Main and Chef Nicolas Confortin and brother from CIAO Food Co. as hosts for the Food / Action Stations during the amazing Cocktail Hour supported musically by our friend, Ms. Sarina Haggarty. This cornerstone annual fundraising event would not be possible without you…we are so grateful.

We were deeply honoured to have welcomed very special guests …..Melissa and Wes Andrews from Cannington, ON …. who are the parents of 11-year-old Ella who is in a daily battle with Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD). Wes and Melissa touched everyone’s hearts as they gave us all some insight on their journey as a family coping with the day to day struggles of this terrible disease! They were joined by grandparents Sharon & Wayne Kay and friends from the Sunderland, ON area.

Thanks to our nine wonderful Corporate Donors, eleven Program Sponsors, over a hundred Fund-a-Need Donors, more than eighty local Business-Auction partners and of course the amazing Team at the London Hunt & Country Club we raised almost $75,000.00 for MLD Research. It takes many hearts and hands to make an event such as this a success. We thank them for their compassion! Their collective kindness will long be remembered. Together we continue to give hope to the children suffering & the families struggling with the tragedy of Metachromatic Leukodystrophy. Funds raised from this amazing evening will help establish a future Clinical Trial, conducted through “Bethanys Hope Leukodystrophy Research Laboratory” … right here in London!!

We are now looking forward to a break-out year in Research for 2024….
